Movie narrative charts

Pretty much sums it up. I've seen Primer twice and I still don't understand it.

4. You might say that

It is an extremely cool film, though.

2. Pulp Fiction would be interesting to see graphed out.
It still takes me about a minute or two just to put it all in chronological order.

3. I guess these are based on clock time?
So yes, PF would be interesting to plot out... wonder what it looks like if you just cut it together linearly?

"Bad Timing" by Nicholas Roeg is cut out of sequence, starts on the last night, then flashes back over the course of several weeks/months, until the flashbacks catch up with the last night. I seem to recall he'd cut it linearly, but it was kind of flat, so he thought of reworking it into flashbacks, and the result was a lot better. If that's the case, yes, the editing pretty much makes that picture.

Or how about Memento?

6. The order that I've seen
1. Captain Koons gives the gold watch to Butch
2. Vincent & Jules (recovering the briefcase from the kids)
3. The Bonnie Situation (disposing of Marvin's body)
4. The Diner (both scenes)
5. Vincent Vega & Marcellus Wallace's Wife
7. The Gold Watch (Butch recovers the gold watch)

There are even bootleg versions of the movie with the scenes in order.
