Both John Mitchell AND Michael Savage went to my High School????
Jamaica HS, in Queens. I never knew my school could produce someone who is so hateful and odious. Also, the Rat-Bastard Dodger owner Walter O'Malley and Watergate crook John Mitchell.

On the other hand, we also had Francis Ford Coppola.

major league pitcher Brendan Donnelly too ( for the jocks among us; raises hand sheepishly).

3. Suzanne Sommers is my school's most famous alumna
she graduated LONG before I did, of course! (Yeah, like about 6 years earlier only;-)) As for Savage: at least he's gone far away from his old roots, so if you still live there you don't have to worry about running into him.

I OTOH could run into him at any time. I think he only settled here because our non-judgmental happy lives just fuel his fury and insanity.

6. John and Joan Cusack and Jeremy Piven ...all well after my time...
Edited on Sun Nov-01-09 09:33 PM by abq e streeter
but graduated with both a Playmate of the Year (from '70 or '71 , and "Queen of the B movies") Claudia Jennings (not her real name) and runner up to Miss Universe ( '73) Amanda Jones. Also, Ruby Wax ( actually IS her real name), who moved to England and is a well known comedienne and TV host there. No famous evil people like Savage or Mitchell that I know of.

8. The band 311. Also, I had the same kindergarten teacher as Dick Cheney.
We turned out a little differently, obviously. Also, he's 30 years older than me.

10. The teacher was wonderful.
It must have been some other teacher that turned him bad. Or he was just born bad.

12. I think Michael Weiner (Savage) probably rose to asshole status later in life
In his 20's he was quite the hippy liberal. He hung out with notable beat poets and even guarded Timothy Leary's stash for a while.

14. I did not know that
Lee Marvin. One hell of an actor.

BTW, his paramour from the famous palimony case died last week.

The Mets season died in June of this year. I don't know what they do from here.
