anyone have any suggestions? Lelapin wants to go to grad school, so whatever she uses, it has to be not very expensive...

1. There's a free download on the GRE website somewhere
of a program that gives you some sample questions and some practice tests.

I'd also check your local Half Price books if you have one, or other second hand store. Good luck to Lelapin!

I just looked at my library's database... there were a lot of entries.

6. Back in covered wagon days (1988), I took the Kaplan course for the GRE...
...and did extremely well on the actual test. This was before the internet so I had to go to an actual class.

The core of the course was practice exams, and served me well. I'd recommend KAplan.

7. When I took the Becker course for the CPA exam
it was a combination on-line and CD course. I'm sure Kaplan's gone that way too.

How long are your scores good? If she took the test, would the scores be good for a couple years until she could afford to go to grad school?

8. I don't remember but it's for a reasonable period of time - I recall it being multiple years
