Poll question: Best recent action movie "franchise"?
Edited on Sun Nov-01-09 01:54 AM by Flaxbee
Choose, and tell me why, please.

I have to admit to being a total loon over the Bourne movies. Love them. (There's a new one due sometime in 2011 :D Bourne: Geriatric - ha ha. Damon says it's "The Bourne Redundancy" Lol.)

I think I've enjoyed them so much because I've been through so many of the places in the movies -- sort of like revisiting my travels.

2. I liked the National Treasure movies
Sort of Indiana Jones lite, but very entertaining.

3. I liked the first one a lot, but thought the second one was
just totally stupidly ridiculous, which surprised me since Helen Mirren was in it....

Wish they'd done a better job with the second one, since the first one was so fun.

4. Always go with the unrated versions.
;-)

But seriously I hate PG-13 action and horror movies. That's why we must look to the '80s for wisdom.

8. "Bourne Redundancy" is an old joke.
I heard it many years ago when Robert Ludlum seemed to be writing the same novel over and over again with a different title.

Today the same can be said about Dan Brown whose latest novel changes the city and monuments but uses the same story as The Da Vinci Code.

(BTW I voted for the Bourne Trilogy. Great movies.)
