reject treat or nice change of pace?
not a sticky popcorn ball or prepackaged dry pretzels, but a sandwhich baggie with about a cup and half of real stove top popped popcorn, lightly salted and a 1/4 cup (abut the same amount as a "treat" size mini package) of regular M and Ms

How would you feel about getting that?

My mom did this every year we lived anywhere there might be a few trick or treaters (not many places) and brought them to school for Halloween party treats. I loved munching the leftovers and wish I had some (and could eat them) right now!

1. nice change of pace
I remember a few houses as a kid where we got popcorn (sometimes paired with chocolate of some sort, but I don't remember specifics), and I always thought it was good. (The parental figures would only let us keep it if it came from houses we knew, though, on account of the threat, I suppose, of razorblades hidden in popcorn kernels  :) ...)

2. That's an odd DU glitch
I saw both your OP and your response before I posted my response, but (because of DST, I assume) my response wound up as the #1 in the thread, above yours

5. Those sound great Kali.
We had a lady in our neighborhood when I was a kid that made hot sausages to pass out. I always hit her house first before she ran out. :)

Homemade stuff wouldn't go over very well with parents these days. Doubt they'd let their kids eat it. Rightly so I suppose. Too bad though.

6. Sounds excellent to me.
I love salty and sweet, especially with chocolate involved. I could definitely kill myself with that combo. But for a real treat, try salted buttered popcorn with Rolos.

I don't eat either anymore but it was definitely a kickass combo. :9
