7. There is only one family within walking distance of here

that has kids, and this is one of those hideous gated, guarded places, so they can't come in from somewhere else. The one family's kids apparently go to someplace that is more kid-friendly. After a few years of leaving the lights on, stocking up on all kinds of goodies and getting _no_ trick or treaters, I gave up.

So I won't be handing anything out - there is no one to bestow this stuff upon. Pity. I love Halloween ....
