1. Is that like National Hot Dog day for dogs?
If so, Haydes can have as many as he wants. Normally, I wouldn't spoil him like that, but it is a holiday.

15. I'm gonna slow-cook mine.
Put it in the crockpot with a can of cream of mushroom soup. It'll make that kitty nice and tender. :P

yes, I have gotten up and tried to get my parents up at 5-6am on christmas morning, so I'm speaking from experience.

19. We are already celebrating: I bought a second heated cat bed.
Milo and Jeoffry had taken to squabbling over the heated bed we already had. Milo considered it to be his, and if he found Jeoffry in it he'd either whap him on the head or climb in on top of him. Jeoffry was sneakier; he'd just hang around and wait for Milo to get up, then immediately assume possession of the bed, and the squabble would start all over. So I ordered another bed, which arrived today. Milo immediately took over the new one, and Jeoffry is sleeping peacefully in the old one. Pixie doesn't care; she sleeps on the couch.

Yes, they own me. Today and every day is National Cat Day.

23. Oh dear bog. Please please please don't let the hordes find out about this.
They already run the house, especially that devil cat who owns the bed. And the other devil cat who owns my desk. And the other devil cat who owns the futon. And the other devil cat who pouts when it's not beef. And the other devil cat who piddles all over the landscape for no reason.

:scared:

30. With a spray bottle at my side
The meanest cat in the world has gotten in the habit of laying in my lap. When I deign to move she clamps down on my wrist like it was a tasty mouse. The only thing that stops her from drawing blood is a spray bottle. She's so smart I don't even have to spray it anymore. All I have to do is pick it up. The trick is to pin her down with my free hand while I reach for my trusty defense weapon. If I accidentally let her free, my arm will end up looking like I was attacked by a Tiger. I could throw her across the room and she would come right back at me.

She is truly one psychotic cat but I love her.

37. Setting aside only one day . . .
. . . as National Cat Day, is deeply offensive to all cats.

Once they were revered as gods, now they get just one day, while celery gets the whole month of April!

Prostrate myself, do their bidding, serve at their beck and call, like I do every day. They are Kitties, and their power over me is all-consuming. :loveya: :patriot:
