had a filling fall out today. Brushing my teeth this morning and felt something
thought maybe I just didn't brush well the night before

well on the way to work my tongue felt the hole and I realized that I had lost a filling

Called the dentist at 7 AM and got in at 2:30.

I was hoping that they could just put a new filling back in place with no needles..

but NO, I can't get that lucky...

he tried to just take out the "new little spot of decay" without numbing but he hit a hot spot so I had to get the shot...

definitely not the way I pictured ending my work day today!

4. Emergency dental work is never a fun way to spend an afternoon.
Hell, Dental work is never a good way to spend an afternoon whether it is emergency or not. :(

I am glad it was minor, and I am glad it is over.

6. I don't know which was a worse trick of nature:
Menstruation

Pain of childbirth

nerves in teeth that decay

Honestly. Nothing else on our body decays like that. Hair doesn't. Toenails don't.

Why, why, why????????? (pitiful lament, raging at the mother nature)
