NAMPA — How long would you wait in line at a strip mall for a year's worth of free buffalo wings?
The answer for Nampa buddies Adam Serdynksi and Jeff Davis: 36 hours.
Serdynksi and Davis were the first two customers out of more than a hundred people who waited for Buffalo Wild Wings to open in Nampa Monday morning. The first 100 people in line got coupons for free buffalo wings every week for a year.
"We get free wings for a year and a story to tell," said Serdynksi, 17, looking fresh-faced in a Pittsburgh Steelers jersey despite getting only two hours of sleep over the previous two nights.
Buffalo Wild Wings, next to the Edwards 14 movie theater on Karcher Road, opened its front doors to a near stampede of wing-crazy diners a half hour ahead of schedule at 10:30 a.m. Serdynksi and Davis, 18, quickly found a booth, sat down with friends, flipped through their coupon books and sent text messages. Buffalo Wild Wing's 63 televisions — the one behind the bar measures 160 inches — blared sports programing. A battalion of first-day wait staff hustled to their tables.
The restaurant "kind of has a cult following," Buffalo Wild Wings Idaho franchise chief operating officer Doug Davis said.
