Project Runway
Who is Christopher screwing to STILL be in?

He's been in the bottom 2, like, 4 weeks in a row. :o

2. I didn't think his outfit this week was that bad, though.
It wasn't a winner, but it wasn't worthy of being sent home. I liked the belt. I thought the judge's decision this week was actually a good one, for once. I haven't been happy with the judging for the most part this season.

3. They do this every year --
keep someone on who they think is more compelling in some way, even though that person should have been long gone. I think they are keeping him on because of his "Little Engine That Could" storyline. :eyes:

As noted in the fine print of the credits, it is just not the quality of the designs that play a part in who stays/goes, but the producers and others get a say as well.

You could tell Tim Gunn was fairly disgusted with the outcome -- he made such a point of telling the guy who left what a talented designer he was.

There hasn't been a single dress Christopher has made that I found to be truly flattering to a woman. He somehow makes his almost-6 foot model look short, boxy, and thick waisted. Do you have any idea how hard that is to do?? :D
I have found this group to be the most dull designers of all the seasons. They dumped the two designers who were in any way avant garde/interesting in the first three shows.

It's not been a good season.

5. I don't remember a single instance in the past when Gunn has done that.
Sometimes, even though I like Gunn, I think he can be even a little cold with the loser and shoos them back to the work room while they are still saying goodbye.

It was obvious that he didn't agree with the judges this time. And I thought Mila was a great judge -- never been a fan but she is obviously a very real, caring person from what I saw.

And I agree with you on the over quality of this season. Remember Season I and the quality of stuff they were producing by this point?

7. My neighbor was on the show
and she said Gunn is even colder than it looks. They didn't like each other but she made it to the finals anyway.

They keep the ones who are cut in the same hotel with the ones who aren't to keep the exit order a secret. And they don't get paid -- they just get a hotel room (shared) and a $60/day stip. So imagine getting cut in the first episode and then living in a hotel for 6 weeks until you can go home and go on with your life.

8. To play devil's advocate
I bet even being a "loser" on the show would get someone a lot of work.

And that's $2500 in six weeks... not exactly buckets of cash, but not too shabby either.

(Was your neighbor known for doing floral prints?)

9. remember Johnny and the newspaper dress?
He out and out lied. Tim was furious and was really, really cold, hardly saying goodbye to Johnny. No hugs IIRC. When Johnny left, Tim said something like, 'I never heard such B.S.' to the other contestants. Personally, I liked Tim saying that.

6. I think the biggest crime of last night's outfit
is the fact that it made the model look a little chunky.

It looks like something my mom would have worn in 1988. :P

10. I know it's way late, but WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!?!?!?
I don't get TV so I have to watch when it's available online, so I just watched ep 10

WHAT?!?!?!??!?!?!?!??!?!!???!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was the *WORST* runway decision EVER. That was the UGLIEST piece of crap in the world. At least the other design was good looking, even if it wasn't right for the challenge. His was garbage, and most of his stuff has been garbage... STUPID STUPID STUPID.

Also, Irena didn't deserve to win.....

11. "Irena didn't deserve to win." Agreed. Faux fur vest over that brown

cowl-necked sweater did not at all suggest sipping champagne in an aspen ski lodge. It was more like she was making a Sonny or Cher circa 1968 Halloween costume. Hideous.

12. Plus I just don't like her
but more than anything, her look totally wasn't win worthy. One of the other 2 should have got it. Well.. Gordana should have.

14. I think there are several designers who shouldn't be there still, but are,
because Nina and Michael Kors have not been judging consistently. I think both Logan and Christopher are crap, but they've been kept on b/c no one has (except Heidi) consistently viewed their work.

Nicholas, while his hair drove me absolutely CRAZY, at least did something original with the design of the pants and shirt, even though neither were terribly evocative of Greece. Both Logan and Christopher just made clothes you could find at any store off the rack. Neither designed anything unique, just put together some stupid looking miniskirt and top, or a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. No real effort.

I think Christopher should have gotten sent home over the hideous metallic bubble dress. I think Nicholas should still be there, and Logan booted this week over his dumb jeans outfit.

And I *REALLY* think Epperson should still be there. His aufing was tragic. Wasn't a great dress, but he is one of the only ones who has a unique point of view, and they ditched him.

Really stupid season, in my opinion. If they can't get some cohesiveness with the judging, if they can't keep Nina and Michael there regularly, don't even bother with the show.

15. They might be keeping Christopher in because he has a point of view
I really can't think of any other reason to keep him.
