Good morning Lounge
How are you today?

I had a nice weekend with my brother. Saturday I went to the International Book Fair. Found a couple of books I will buy in the future. One is a book about library science (the ALA was there), one is about the American Civil war. And a couple of novels and mysteries. Quite some reading fodder :D

Saturday evening I went out for dinner with my brother, we went to an Indian restaurant. Very yummy.

Yesterday I was a lazy bum. Watched TV, read and slept.

:hi: :loveya:

Glad you had fun with your brother; sounds like a fun time at the book fair.

I love that picture. I was a caver in college and spent quite a lot of time crawling around on my hands and knees in the mud. I loved it. We were in wild caves, so we were wearing the whole get-up of helmets with lights, coveralls and boots.

edit for sleepy typos

It was fun. And I wasn't that long at the fair that it got tiresome.

Caves are fun :)

3. Good afternoon
MissHoneychurch. I've never been in one of your threads before so I thought I'd stop by to say hello since we are in the same timezone while most of the other DU'ers are sound asleep!

Your weekend sounds enjoyable. I love Indian food as well. We found a new Indian restaurant in our neighborhood called Guru and we are on our way to becoming regulars.

We had a lazy bum weekend too. Did our shopping on Saturday and then lazed around on Sunday. I made a nice Sunday dinner, Minutensteaks with a mushroom cream sauce, mashed potatoes and rosenkohl. It was yummy.

I hope you have a nice day today and your weather is better in Frankfurt than ours is here in München.

MissHoneychurch :hi:

I never need a doggy bag-I've got a husband

We have the same temperature here too, but it is cloudy and raining on and off. It will get warmer in the next few days and I can put my scarf and gloves away for a while.

liebe Grüße!

Yeah, I'm looking forward to the warmer temps also. I am not ready for winter yet. I finally turned the heat on last weekend. The blanket wasn't enough anymore.

Liebe Grüße zurück :hi:

4. Good morning MissH!
That cave looks fabulous - fun to explore.

It appears that the book fair was a success, but now you've come away with more books to read. Ahhhh . . . our lists are never ending!

I had a lot of chores planned for this weekend, but ended up doing few. Oh well, there's always tomorrow. :)

Went to dinner and a concert on Saturday. Dinner was sushi (yummy) and the concert was Imani Winds, a wind quintet. They were marvelous.

Unfortunately we do not have any good Indian restaurant in this area. *sigh* I LOVE Indian food.

:hi: :loveya:

19. Oh NO! Now I have to
add these to my list too. ;) They all sound like very good reads. I don't know if I could even endure going to a book fair. I'd be writing ferociously.

Unfortunately I've got to be heading out for work.

Wishing you a great day.

5. Mornin Miss H
I just goofed around too all weekend. I did a lot of reading and went out for lunch with my mom. After this week I go on vacation for a week and I am looking forward to that. It's been about 3 years since I've had a vacation. I'm not sure if I'm going to go anywhere or not. I'm leaning toward just lounging around the house all week. As you may know, I travel for a living.

17. My blood pressure is out of control
It's like my meds just stopped working. Calling the doctor as soon as his office opens.
My wife and daughter had a major arguement. This always seems to happen right before a visit, we are going to go see her at school next weekend and she is very proud of her first apartment.
And it was freezing rain all weekend and I had a lot of outdoor work to do.
Bleh

Sounds like you had a nice visit with your brother. I'm happy for you.

16. Good Afternoon, MissH
I'm not going to be around much today - I've got to go home at 10:30 to meet a city inspector who's coming to make sure the house isn't a slum - which it's not, so no big deal.

I spent the weekend cleaning and watching movies. I did get into the new Pratchett book, I haven't finished it yet.

:hi:

Sounds like a fun weekend. :D I got to see my college football team win, defeating Saturday's opponent for the first time. :woohoo: Unfortunately, our state college rivals won, too. :(

Got some work done on Sunday, but not all I wanted. Went out to eat and watched the late NFL game, and the home team played and won.

Looking forward to the coming weekend, brewfest at the Carolina Renaissance Festival.
