I have a question about my DVD player: It seems a lot of the
rental DVDs I've played recently skip or freeze. I've been assuming this is due to scratches on the DVDs, but could my several year old player be at fault? I'm willing to bet there is a dandy collection of cat and dog hair inside.
2. DVDs now are almost all dual density and older players...
aren't always up to reading the tiny tracks. I've got the same problem on a newer player, and have to get a yet newer one.
HOWEVER-- try lightly cleaning the skipping DVDs with warm, soapy water and dry with a soft cloth. They may have greasy fingerprints from the last slob who rented them.
