So they've made a new A Christmas Carol movie. It's animated. Starring Jim Carrey. In 3D.

Here I was thinking I'd seen everything. And there was no reason to go on with life anymore.

But then somebody makes another A Christmas Carol movie. It's animated. Starring Jim Carrey. In 3D.

And I think to myself, boy am I glad I can live in a day and age when somebody had the brilliant idea to make another A Christmas Carol movie. It's animated. Starring Jim Carrey. In 3D.

I was all jaded about how nobody had any new ideas anymore, and how CGI was overused and soulless.

How wrong I was.

Hollywood supermensch are our moral and intellectual betters.

What will they come up next?

A movie of Wuthering Heights in shaky real time video footage starring Tia Carrera? With narration by Drew Barrymore as Emily Bronte?

How about Oliver Twist starring the Duggar kids with Smell-O-Vision- last employed for the 1960 masterpiece "Scent of Mystery?"

Madame Bovary in IMAX? Starring Beautiful Day Monster the obscure Jim Henson muppet?

How about The Brothers Karamazov using rotoscope animation and washed up cast members from SNL?

Or Billy Budd starring Divine? With that spinning camera technique from the Matrix?

3. It was the eyes that did it for me.
Dead, soulless, zombie eyes.

4. Bu it's Disney. . So I'm worried that they'll
take one of my very favorite stories and do something dumb with it.
