6. Doesn't hurt is a good thing.
You will probably need a crown.

14. UGH that happened to me earlier this year
It was a tooth I'd had filled a long time ago, when I was a kid. I had the filling redone a couple years ago, and obviously that weakened the tooth because a big chunk of it broke off when I was eating pizza this spring. I had to get a crown, and the first crown was awful - my tooth was super-sensitive to pressure and temperature and I couldn't even chew on that side of my mouth, so I had to get it redone. It's still a little sensitive - I can't bite down on anything really hard or brittle on that tooth - but it's as good as it's going to get I imagine.

Good luck x(

19. wow. You're definitely getting a crown.
Edited on Tue Oct-13-09 08:47 PM by Capn Sunshine
know what's weird, when the dentist matches the crown to your other teeth it's never your idea of what color your teeth are.

20. Does that make you a cannibal?
I mean, you just ate yourself... and I assume you are the same species as yourself.... and this could go some unfortunate places so I am stopping now.

Fortunately, I was well oiled at the time.

Question: Where did that burrito come from?

25. There are discount dental cards.
Mine saved me tons of money.

All my filling went bad a one time, so crowns for me.

Plus other dental work.

I saved around $5,000.

You can find the discount dental cards on the internet.

Some are better insurance.

26. I had that happen once. Dentist just pasted it up and told me I had great teeth.
I hadn't been to a dentist in 15 years at that point, and I was afraid my teeth were just falling out. He said it meant nothing, and just patched it up with sheetrock or whatever they use. No crown, no surgery. Never happened again.

27. That's been my experience, too
I've broken chunks off three molars now. It always felt huge and I always thought the worst. My dentist just casually patched up the damage.
