guitar hero...what is the point?

playing guitar hero is as hard as playing the real thing...why not learn to play the guitar?

1. Because it's cheaper and more convenient
A decent guitar costs a lot more than a video game.

And you'd have to get lessons.

Same reason some people enjoy Flight Sim games that don't actually fly.
