I've always thought the whole steampunk movement was really cool, but have neither the time or tools to build one myself.

16. I'm over 30
Here's mine - a 1921 Remington Standard No. 10. This model was produced from 1908 through 1921 and was a great advance over previous typewriters in that it has "visible" type; the keys strike the front of the platen rather than on the bottom - state of the art for 1908. Everything works on it. It lacks a @ symbol so you can't use it to send email. It also doesn't have an exclamation point symbol (nor a 1, use lowercase L instead) - to make ! you type a single quote ' then backspace and type a period - makes it harder to type !!11!! The red keys at the top of the keyboard are tab keys.

48. it's a 5.25 floppy disk notcher
back in the day the only way to write to a 5.25 disk was to notch it. If it didn't have a little rectangular section cut out, you couldn't save your game to the disk, etc.

you could definitely do the deed with a knife, but the best solution was to buy a little disk notcher.

57. DING-DING-DING!!!
Back in the day, we used this tool to turn single-sided floppies into "flippies" - put a write-protect notch on the other side so I could flip the disk over and put data on the other side.

41. BTW, I know why there is no '1' key
Something I learned on Pawn Stars. From what I remember it was to reduce manufacturing costs and some other reasons and people used the lower case 'l' key to make up for it. Same thing with an uppercase 'O' for 'O'.
