Please save me from my desire to take a vacation in remote parts of Northern Ontario.
And I mean north.

I have this weird desire to go there. I blame my Canadian Studies class and the lesson on the mythology of the north.

I have actually concocted a plan to go to Cochrane and Moosonee for about a week this spring. All I need is a friend to go along with my plan. And money.

2. Thanks for the earworm.
"There is a town in north Ontario..."

Now I'm remembering a series that aired years ago on PBS down here, "Canada: True North". Someone, asked (yet again :eyes: ) what distinguished Canadians from Americans, mentioned the north and that very mythology.

4. Well if you're up there, could you dig up my old friend...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Franklin">Sir John Franklin.

His personality is sometimes thought to be a little cold, even icy, but he may be thawing a little.

Give him my regards and if you remember to bring it, some canned fish.
