1. OUT at the plate!
Far too shallow to be tagging.

Let the 11th inning begin.

3. LOVE these kind of games
Who comes through? Who wilts under the pressure? The longer the game goes on, the more likely it is that some guy you've never heard of will be put in as a spot substitute and decide the contest.

5. My favorite game of all time was like this.
Game 5 of the 1995 Divisional Series

M's vs Yankees

The Twins kinda have a little bit of the 95 M's in them, charging late to catch a front running division foe.

M's had to play a one game playoff that year as well.

8. That was the greatest playoff game EVER
"The Double" by Edgar Martinez cemented a legend. It literally saved the team from being sold and moved, and led to the building of Safeco Field. Dave Niehaus's classic call is what solidified his induction into the broadcasting hall of fame.

That being said, this is a helluva game, and I am glad I am not a fan of either the Twins or Tigers, because the pressure would kill me! :D

9. You forgot Randy Johnson coming out of the bullpen to make Boggs and Mattingly look ridiculous.
That was SO EFFING AWESOME!

I still get chills just thinking about it.

14. To me...
That image of Griffey smiling at the bottom of the Happy Mariner Pile at home plate is an indelible, immortal image. :D

11. Now THAT has a hell of a playoff game!
I was at the Amtrack station to pick up a ticket for my daughter, and they had the game on there. Got the ticket, got in my car, and listened to it on the radio on the way home. Watched the rest of it at home, One of THE best games EVAH!

4. Speaking of wilting . . .
Orlando Cabrera is bucking for a dismissal. Arguing balls and strikes is the surest ticket back to the locker room.

7. umpire STEALS run from Tigers: batter got brushed on his uniform shirt,
clearly shown in replay, but umpire refuses to call it.

THEN, he starts calling high strikes

what a douchebag

hate those twins

REALLY hate those vikings

what is it with refs/umpires in the Metrodome?

12. can you enjoy in good conscience that your team was aided and abetted by an OBviously
incorrect call, compounded by the fact that the crooked ump refused to get help from any of his colleagues, who CERtainly saw the fact that the guy's uniform was clearly touched by the pitch?

I will guarantee that non-call will go down as one of the most egregious in baseball history.

oh...and fuck the twinkies and the viqueens

22. haaaaaaaa!!!! I don't particularly like the Tigers, dislike the '9ers. and now
I'm rooting for your stupid twinkies

they just scored off the fatboy

2 TIMES!

go twinksters

beat bloated yankees, who epitomize too big (and fat) to fail

if they get past yanks, I'll root for them against the Sox, but not the Angels, and only against Phils in the world series

18. They have the whole "Team of Destiny" feel to it.
Of course, the past three years I placed the Team of Destiny tag on the Tigers, Rockies and Rays respectively, and they all lost the series. Still....
