if you were pushing 40 and generally burned out on everything,
would you consider an offer to work with one of the south's biggest regional circuses?

This would basically be working concessions and stuff, like a carny.

i am really tempted.

2. My mom did it.

Sort of her second career. She led shipboard activities and shore tours. She got to go to China twice.

edit: Oh, circuses. Not cruise lines. My bad. Sorry, Mom. RIP

If you're sick of where you are, it's not a hard choice.

4. A friend of mine did that a long time ago. The fair comes to town
every fall and one fall when it left, so did she. She loved it. She stayed with them for a couple of years. Came back with a camper trailer and lived in it for a while. I wonder how she is doing. Haven't seen her in years.

5. Heck yeah! But that's me.
I've always had a thing for circuses, carnivals, fairs, roadside attractions. But I'd advise being really careful and not assuming it's going to be easy. Rousties can come form a pretty rough cloth and you'd have to hold your own.

6. I can see you doing this datasuspect
It seems to be right up your alley and it would be a good personality fit for you. You may still have all of your original teeth though, and that could be a problem.

It's probably better than the alternative, right?

13. Most mid-life-crisisers just buy a vette, grow a skullet, and start dating 19 year olds.
Don't ask how I know that.

14. I could never do it because
seeing how those poor animals are (mis)treated in circuses would depress the hell out of me.
