Where the hell has time flown, anyway?
Worse, I wish I was born in 1962 so I could appreciate the awesomeness of the entertainment industry, circa 1980~1982. Before commercialization truly started to set in.

If that made any sense, because I'd be nigh on 50 rather than a puny 40... though, either way, I feel 60 and have already survived one major surgery...

Was life wasted? Or did I never realize I had one?

1. That's okay.
I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to say.

I was so old in 1980 that I did not appreciate the entertainment industry. I had pretty much dropped out of what passed as popular culture by then. In fact the years 1977-1983 are pretty much a blank in my memory.

And the older you get, the faster time flies.

2. Neither am I...
Technically, time is a constant and not a variable. It must be our perceptions that change. It's ironic. Time gets faster yet our metabolisms slow... :D

Even then, in 1980, half of what I find myself drawn to wasn't entirely pop-approved... avant-garde stuff. Then again, maybe I just like different things...

4. Actually, time varies wildly. Altitude changes it, speed changes it, and I guess gravity does too
Or it might be the altitude appears to affect it but that is really the affect of gravity, I forget but time is variable for sure.

3. It doesn't fly, it slithers.
You can watch it slither, or you can ignore it and live what life lets you.

I'm a loser, so I just sleep all the time. But you can do better than me!! :)
