...as I discover from PMs, there is more that one kind of news that has to be shared with the proper people in the proper way before it can be shared more generally. So I will say that I'm not having a baby. That would be wonderful. But it's another kind of event that will greatly improve my quality of life.

There's only the remotest chance that anyone concerned might spy our conversation here, but taking this precaution is kind of fun. I am probably within days of being able to shout from the rooftops.
