1. Two cats own me
I am here to serve.

At the moment, one is sitting beside me on the couch giving me the stink eye because the laptop is on my lap instead of her. Poor abused furbabies. x(

3. My cats are gods
I voted the world domination thing, but that's barely scratching the surface.

My house is a franchise of the Church of The Big Giant Cat, and the house felines are His/Her avatars.

I'm just staff. :P

In my profile one of my hobbies is "serving my feline overlords." Although, it's not really a hobby -- it's more like my raison d'etre. Oh, and the human kids take a lot of my time, too. :)

65. I don't know what it is either. As soon as I get a place with a yard I am going to
adopt at least one Welsh Terrier. Those are my absolute favorite, especially when they're not overly groomed and allowed to get a little scruffy. You should see me when I spot one on the street, it's all I can do to keep from screaming.

Sigh...someday.

38. Numbers 1-4 for me, especially the valet choice, just now...
I just spent an eternity cleaning dried poop off the pup's butt, not my favorite hobby, but it had to be done, especially if he expects to sleep on my pillow tonight... It's odd, since he was just washed and groomed, she must not have trimmed him enough. It's just him and me, so I'm on my own here, no help to be had, but, to be fair, it was probably tougher on him... x(

My parrot talks meaningfully in English, is mostly potty-trained, requires constant attention, likes watching cartoons, loves pizza and hates green foods, goes with me pretty much anywhere I am allowed to bring him, and is very much like having a bright two-year-old with ADHD and a toolkit.

This is a picture of us at Yellowstone:

My other bird, a starling, is more like a room-mate. He was a wild bird before being hit by a car and doesn't like human contact very much. I do what I can to keep him entertained with stuff that uses the skills he developed in the wild.

66. I found my kitties when they were two weeks old, abandoned in an attic. So they developed
very different personalities than most of the other cats I know (and I seem to know a LOT of people with cats). I think because cared for them from such a young age, even having to feed them with bottles, they totally see me as their mom (well, saw...one of them died a few years back). They were extremely social from a very young age and loved to be held, hugged, kissed.

My remaining kitty, who is now 16, is the sweetest living creature I have ever met. He loves everyone and will greet everyone at the door demanding love and attention. I think it freaks some people out. :) Even dogs in the building have encountered him and he trots right up to them to say hello with no hesitation.

So yes, I guess I see him as my baby. I *know* he sees me as his mom.

68. My cats used to be my babies...
...until I had a baby. Then my feelings changed drastically. For the first few months, I couldn't even stand them and my husband had to take care of them completely. I would do nothing for them. I slowly warmed up to them again, and now I love them so much. But it will never be quite the same. It really gave me the strongest sense of love being intensely chemical.

82. Oh Bella's a tree climber, too!
She's just too darn big to really do it. (She's about 50 lbs.) We think there's some Coonhound in her and know she's got some Basenji so some day we figure she will make it up the tree!

The look on your pup's face in that pic says it all. Smart, charming and defiant - all in one glance. I saw your post in the Pets forum about training and fell in love with her there. The ears are killing me.

The post-its with Bella are a kind of game. She has a thing for paper so we place napkins and paper to be shredded where she can get to it. When she does, it's just a big game of chase and keep away. We've found if we give her the paper, she stays away from the shoes! :)

78. Other: They're pets, and when they die I'm sad for a day or so. I do not consider them my children,
my roommates (they contribute little), or members of the family who eat, travel and sleep when and where I do. I think I'm in the minority, though.
