Looking for article about telling your daughter about Bush* Lies
I posted this in the Media forum but I did not get a response:

I saw an article recently with the title "How tell tell your 17 year old daughter about iraq and Bush's lies." I cannot find it now. I have searched DU and several other sites like Buzzflash. Does anyone have that handy? I want to send it to a Freeper friend of a friend of mine

1. Surely you know the facts
Share them! My eleven year old is up to speed...although his classmates (who shouted him down) weren't.

It's Katrina VandenHeuvel at The Nation, bit typically Mike posts the articles he reads excerpts from on his website after the show

5. Here
Dear EmailNation Subscriber,

On the eve of Bill Clinton's Impeachment hearings in 1998, The Sexuality
Information and Education Council (SEICUS) sent out "Ten Tips for Talking
about the Starr Report with Your Children."

"The upcoming impeachment hearing," SEICUS president Debra Haffner
advised, "provides parents with a special opportunity to talk to their
children about sexuality issues...The question parents need to ask is 'Who
do I want to tell my children about this sad situation?' Another child on
the playground? An acquaintance on the schoolbus? They are unlikely to
tell your children the facts in a clear way. And only YOU can give YOUR
children YOUR values."

It's now 2003 however, and as Nation editor (and mother) Katrina vanden
Heuvel argues, "if the events of these last weeks don't provide parents
with that special opportunity to talk to their children about the
president and values like truth, lies and consequences, then I don't know
what does."

For more, read the latest edition of vanden Heuvel's Nation weblog, also
published on the op-ed page of yesterday's Boston Globe.

6. You do not
You introduce your children to politics and the rest is up to them.
Hey. I doubt your parents picked your politics. They did no more than frame your beliefs

7. My 6 year old knows what is going on, and is smart enough
to keep her mouth shut in school.
I am so proud of her.

Thanks for the replies. The post on The Nation led me to the Boston Globe editorial.
