Poll question: Fried Chicken?
Edited on Thu Sep-03-09 09:19 PM by triguy46
The reason I ask is that I was reading reviews of a local chicken place that gonna be on Diners Drive Ins and Dives, Eischens in Okarche, OK, and people were saying, "Well, I like chicken, but not on the bone" "Or this place sucks, it only has chicken with bones"

How the hell else can you eat a drumstick? So tell your preference and explain.

3. The Bone rules! What kinda Frankenchicken...
bullshit critter ain't got no bones?

I understand chicken fingers, and crispy strips, and no bones in the pot pie. I really understand cordon bleu and the joy of stuffed chicken breasts.

But this whole thing about nuggets and popcorn chicken is just a way of chicken chains reducing garbage removal costs-- take the little bits left over after you cut off the breasts, stir 'em up in a pot of glue and you got something new to sell. And boneless wings? The very shame of such a thing!

Remember, this was pretty much how haggis and even worse things from pig parts came to be, but at least back then they were staving off starvation, not looking to sell teeth and claws to the ignorant.

5. That show makes me hungry, every time
I don't know what it is about it, but I want to visit each and every place they show.

Guy has a helluva job.

6. "Chefography" about Guy showed when his book came out
There were people waiting for autographs who said their goal was to visit every restaurant in the book! I guess it could make for interesting trips with good food but you'd have to hike or bike the entire trip to not end up fat.

7. Off the bone?
Bah! I say bah!

Fried chicken is meant to be chewed and gnawed off the bone. It's as God and the Colonel intended!
