I'm an Amendment to Be, yes an amendment to be...and I'm hoping that they'll ratify me

Does anyone else remember this bit from the Simpsons?

I was a kid when it aired. I thought about it today because it was the first time I had heard of Ted Kennedy. I asked my mom who he was and that led to a whole discussion on him and liberalism in general.

Even in the cartoons, Teddy stood up for our liberties :)
