has anyone had an experience with a 96 subaru legacy

i am going to look at one this evening for my son and i was just wondering if anyone had anything good or bad to say.

1. I just took a look at the Consumer Reports

online ratings on used cars. They show the '96 Subaru Legacy & Outback as being considerably more reliable than average. Hope that helps.

6. I've got a slightly later model

Best car I've ever owned.

It's got a few idiosyncracies relating to the doors (probably 'cause it's been broken into) and I'd like a little more oomph (for which I'd end up paying at the pump, plus it badly needs a tuneup).

if it rides nice I will buy it. It will be to get my son back and forth from school and work.

Remember, it is a small vehicle so it's NOT going to have the ride of a pickup truck or Mercedes.
