Think I've gone loopy
Recently I went to Hong Kong. Fascinating city with a LOT of restaurants. So anyway, we ate some genuine Contonese (Chinese) food and it was delicious. Now that I am back here in the good old USA, I have been eating more Chinese food than ever before. And except for one restaurant about three blocks from my house, it is not very good. Is my mind still in HK eating that wonderful Cantonese food, or is it that the American version of Chinese food just isn't very good or is it that I am completely loopy?
By the way, if anyone ever visits Hong Kong, go to a dim sum restaurant. You will not regret it. Yum!

1. The Americanized versions of foreign dishes are rarely, if ever, as good as the genuine article

Consequently, foreign versions of American dishes are sometimes pretty dodgy as well
I've been burned on both ends.
