Favorite Performance From Woodstock - Post it Here!
So many to choose from, but I'm gonna go with Santana's Soul Sacrifice. If nothing else, just for 19 year old Michael Shrieve's tearing it up on a four piece kit. Outstanding. :applause:

2. My first introduction to Santana and most of the bands that played Woodstock as
I was only eleven in '69. But I got the album for Christmas the following year and proceeded to wear it out on my parents console.

6. You picked my favorite performance, also.
Michael Shrieve kicked ass!!

I read someplace that Carlos Santana had dropped acid right before they went on -- he said the neck of his guitar "felt like a snake in his hand."

24. Well, shit, I have to agree sith Skittles - Alvin Lee!!!!!!
He is 64, still playing, released another album in '07 and has an official website here: www.alvinlee.com/

He recordd an album with Elvis's old guitarist and drummer Scotty Moore and DJ Fontana around '04. I have been trying to catch up with his speed and accuracy recently, because I love playing old rock and roll style music.
My hands hurt.

He's great!

Who turned off the camera for the crucial 15 seconds? It's like the missing 18 minutes on the Nixon tapes.

22. Excellent pick!
West was a pioneer and many future guitarists copped some of his chops and sound.

Definitely Woodstock's best performance, even topping his riding the Zamboni.
