Odd associations
Do you have any strange associations, where you connect two seemingly unrelated things because of an event or a memory?

Whenever I hear songs from a particular Bread album, I associate it with The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, specifically the part about the feud between the Grangerfords and the Shepardsons. I must have been listening to it during one of the times I read the book and something about the melancholy nature of those songs brings me back to that sad chapter of the book.

Also, I associate eating toasted banana bread with The Lord of the Rings - same sort of thing though it doesn't seem to bring me to a particular part of the book.

I'm weird.... :silly:

1. Yes. Lots of them.
The one that comes to mind most readily is that oddly enough when I was reading Papillon many years ago, the song Band on the Run was new and in constant rotation on the radio. The two of them meshed together and remained that way ever after.
