For those with crappy mattresses and horrific back pain -
I can't TAKE it anymore -

I just ordered this:

http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2.cgi?PAGE=PROFRAME&PROD_ID=552617

It's a one inch, memory foam mattress topper. I sure as sh!t can't afford a whole memory foam mattress, so this will have to do. It got great reviews, and is a great price - so I thought I'd pass it along.

They seem to be out of the king size - but they have twin, full, and queen available. CHEAP SHIPPING too - I love Overstock!

1. Report back once you've slept on it for a few weeks.
I've always thought that one of these mattress outfits should strike a deal with Holiday Inn or someplace to put them in all the rooms. If you want to try it out, just make a reservation and take a testdrive... put coupons in the rooms to knock $50 off the full price. This is Gold, Jerry...

2. I bought one of those about a month ago
It's VERY comfortable--I tend to sleep on my side and stomach, and it removes all the pressure points.

3. let us know how it works out
I have neck/shoulder pain due to "bulging disks" and "pinched nerves"

my partner broke her back many years ago and has a few disks that are now fused, and often wakes up with varying degrees of pain - not to mention that she broke her upper arm right near the shoulder last year and that also causes morning pains..

I've seen the "info-mercials" on this but I'm skeptical about info-mercial products..

4. That foam looks uncomfortable
Maybe it is as comfortable as it is advertised. Well let me know how it feels.

5. Here are two reviews from people that already ordered one....
Reviewer: Kay from Canonsburg/PA/USA
I am thrilled with this product! Just what I was looking for! I bought two of the full sized memory foam toppers to stack, thinking that one would not be thick enough to support us comfortably (the heavier you are, the deeper you will sink...). I have to say that it was money well spent, because we are sleeping comfortably now with practically no pressure points. The occasional pressure point is hardly noticeable and we wake up with no pain from lying in one position for a long time. This solution is far cheaper than buying a whole memory foam mattress, and I get most of the benefits! Now if we could just convince the dog to sleep elsewhere!

Reviewer: Joel from Deer Park/TX/USA
I was overwhelmed after putting this mattress topper on my bed. StearnsFoster mattress underneath with a down mattress pad (got it here) on top - it was like sleeping on a cloud. After having surgery recently, I hadn't been able to sleep all the way through the night. This absolutely made the difference. This allows me just enough cush to relieve all those pressure points (and Im a big guy) but not so much that I feel like Im drowning. I roll it up and take it with me on trips!

-----------------------------------------------------

I'll post again after I get it to let you know how it works.

6. I have a 2" topper from Costco
was about $150, I think (Queen size). It's made quite a difference and I certainly have less back pain since I've owned it (about two years now).
