I tried to make a neutral post in the gun lobby.
Man! The room is a powder keg and everyone is so wound up! Just how much fun can that be? I am never posting there again. Can you ignore threads that you have started?

By merely the virtue of having an opinion of any sort you are guaranteed to piss half the people there off, and if you are very skilled (or inept) you just might manage to piss everyone off.

8. The only worse forum on DU is R/T
I have fairly moderate opinions about both religion AND guns, which means that I'd be flamed relentlessly by 90% of the extremist wackjobs in both fora. They're INSANE.
