1. Well. 50 years ago, I attempted to...
Edited on Wed Aug-05-09 08:36 AM by Stuart G
"borrow" some condoms (or should I say a condom) from the local drug store where I was working. There was a willing young lady where I went to high school..(no, I never did visit her)
,,,(has the statue of limitations expired?}

... Got caught. Nothing really happened. except ...I remember it.... very well...I guess........

:dunce:

2. Yeah. Once. Totally got busted.
I am so not slick that way. Luckily, I'd just turned 18, so my parents weren't called, I just had to pay a fine.

3. Yes.
When I was younger, my buddy and I stole a lot of baseball cards from Woolworth's. We were never caught.

4. Not personally... But I knowingly accepted a stolen item once.
I had a hoodlum friend who would steal things specifically for me. Nothing big- I mentioned that I wanted a new Zippo lighter and the next day, here he is with it and tells me that he pocketed it at a local market.

This was all high school, so I plead juvenile stupidity on my part. I can't speak for him.

5. I stole a candi one time. My mom saw me chewing on it and made me pay
the cashier for it. That's it. Though I have walked out of a store forgetting to pay for something before. I remembered and returned and paid.

7. Yes...

Loose change over a span of a week from an employer to make a point about their bad cash-handling policies. (They literally rounded all accounting entries in the end-of-day ledger to the nearest $1. Thus it would have been possible to steal up to $.49/day (or about $125/year) from them undetected.) Then, months later I told them about it...a net gain of about $2.00. It would have been impossible for them to catch me if I hadn't told them.

I used it on Metrofare to get to work. I figured that was recompense, giving it back would have taught them nothing. Shockingly, I didn't get fired or arrested for this stunt.

8. Not recently
As in the last 20 years. And no I was never caught.

Why? Either it was something I wanted, or I wanted the money I could get for it.

9. Yes
When I was going to school for programming, I had a part time job in the deli dept of a grocery store. It was located right on the border between a fairly well to do neighborhood (not exactly rich but well off) and a poor one. I could always tell the poorer families that came by because they would order whatever was cheapest that week. Sooo... I started giving them the finest meats we had regardless of their actual order and pricing them at the sale meat.

oh... and I would also slice up a pound of their finest genoa salami the moment my shift started and then say "oh my... the person that ordered this has gone... well, I'll just put it right here till they get back" and then snack on it all night :D

I never really tried to fool anyone with what I was doing and I'm pretty sure I never did but I was never reported or caught.

15. Sure, many things.
Never was caught. Why? Because I wanted or needed it and didn't have the cash or just for fun.
