Need some bridal-shower advice
I'm going to a bridal shower next week. The couple is an older couple combining two households and they don't really need anything. When I checked the registry, it was all power tools (?!?), which seem to me to be quite inappropriate for a bridal shower. Should I get the bride a power tool or just something else that's nice and comes with a gift receipt?

1. In these kinds of situations...
I usually give a very good bottle of Champagne with directions to drink it on their honeymoon or 1st anniversary. I know I'd appreciate such a gift.

The other option is to give a Spa Certificate for a couples massage.

6. I like the idea of power tools at a shower - maybe they love buidling stuff

together!

OTOH, I always gave either fun, silly gifts if I know the bride well, or really nice things like linens, pottery, or whatever fits their taste...

8. POWER TOOL!!
If it were me, I'd want the tools and not some frilly shit. Then again, I didn't have a bridal shower because I like my friends enough not to do that to them.
