21 hours.
Since my last cigarette. May not seem like much, but that's the longest I've gone without in a very, very long time.

I was ok at home all morning and early afternoon. I would go outside and sit on the steps, as when I did when I smoked, every time I felt a craving.

In the car, I chewed on a pen cap, and held the pen in my hand like a cigarette.

I am at work now, and work has been tough, so far.

But I really want to quit, so I am trying really hard. I need to. It's time. I've been having some issues breathing. Going to see how it is in a few days (the breathing). I'm on vacation next week, so I will have time to see the doctor if need be.

Wish me luck! Send your vibes! Send along a piece of advice!

:hi:

1. Good luck!
I've tried and failed several times but I keep trying. That is the key. Are you going cold turkey? That is pretty difficult. Wishing you all the luck in the world on kicking this rotten fucking habit. Nicorette worked pretty good for me. 23 days without a cig and that is quite an accomplishment for me. I'll keep trying.

Good luck Billwillq!

3. That is one tough way to go!
Think about alternatives if you need it.

Other than cold turkey.

7. Save the money that you would have spend on smoking.
Put the money in a glass jar, and watch it grow.

That is how two of my friends stopped smoking.

Congrats, keep going.

9. My dear bigwillq!
I am REALLY rooting for you!

This is a very nasty, dirty habit...and dangerous too.

Your food will taste better, you will have a better sense of smell, and you'll prolong your life!

Keep at it!

I've heard from non-smokers that the first three days are the hardest, and that after that it gets easier.

I hope that's true!

Major, MAJOR props, sweetie!

I heard that the first three days are the hardest too. I heard it's because three days is how long it takes for the nicotine to leave your system (not sure if that's true, but that's what I heard). Then the rest is just mental.

Thanks for your support. :hi:
