Does your workplace have a lot of turnover?
Mine is a veritable revolving door. How about yours?

1. Only in the out direction
They're dropping like flies. There are only four of us in this whole, big place (a number are part-time and have left already). :eyes:

2. The last place I worked for had an owner...
that encouraged turnover.

He thought a higher turnover rate kept the business "fresh".

He also thought that "fear" was the best motivator.

Needless to say, he got his turnover.

3. In construction the workplaces turn over as often as the workers.
Very rarely do you get to be on one job longer than a year.

7. It's a call center.
For a company that does inbound calls for a cell phone company. Does that sound like a recipe for turnover or what? It would be comical if it wasn't so maddening. The place just cries out for a union. (Yeah, like that'll ever happen). :eyes:

8. In the last two months, 13 people have either quit or transferred away from our store.
Back To School is next month and we're one of the busiest stores in the entire company for it, and we have only eight people currently working in the store who have gone through one before. Our new store manager has no idea what he's doing - plus he's an ass - so that's driving everybody away. I believe in the good of the store, but I can't work with this guy much longer so after BTS I'm requesting a transfer.

Grumble grumble stupid retail...

I don't know if it's OUR store or Target in general, but we have a very low turnover.

with our wonderful economy, they are not replacing anyone, so needless to say, our workload gets bigger and bigger. *sigh*

15. Fortunately, no. Most of the employees love it here.
We have plenty of benefits, but the pay sucks.

16. No, hasn't been for ages. I think mainly because jobs are so hard to find.

I learned the hard way not to go to work somewhere where there's a lot of turnover.

Unless, of course, you're desperate and have to take any job you can find.

17. At times.
Some stay for a bit, get some experience and then move on. But we have a lot of old timers too.

18. Hardly any. We only had two retirees this year (school district).
Around here, teaching and other positions in school districts are very hard to find. Once people get hired, they stay forever.

19. no.
Another atty. was hired right after me, so I was the second most junior atty right away. But then it took years before I became the 3rd most junior atty.

21. Mine does
a faith based, social services agency. Turnover is mostly due to management, performance and the faith based part hardly enters into it at all. In fact, recently a person quit! Quit in an economy this bad, she left on her own. That's how terrible they are to work for.........
:(
