1. Tell me about it,
sometimes I wonder why I pay for the service in the first place, and usually the weekends are the worst.

2. The weekends ARE the worst. Without a doubt.
That's when all the channels go on auto-pilot and either show huge blocks of one show, or they show all the crap that they usually don't because they know no one will be watching anyway.

3. Yep,
Usually weekends to me means "dvd time" unless perchance ESPN is showing the Mariners play(which is next to never).

4. I've got a Roku set top box and so I watch Netflix streaming videos
as well as being able to rent streaming videos from Amazon. Netflix has thousands of movies, tv series, and documentaries. It nice to be able to work my way through a tv series I like episode after episode. Also with Netflix I get 3 Blue Ray dvds a week (I get a new dvd on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday).

On Amazon I rented "Gran Torino" for $1.99 and when I ordered "Watchmen" they gave me the 24 hour streaming rental for free. So I always have something to watch and I don't have cable. Why would I need cable?

5. That's why I love watching shows on DVD.
I've found some amazing stuff that way. And shows I probably would have never seen if it weren't for the format like "Arrested Development", "Mr. Show", and "The State".
