Suggestion for History Channel:
Instead of Sasquatch and UFOs, how about something that is actually historical: A series about the history of the labor movement in this country -- the Knights of Labor, the Molly Maguires, the Redneck Army, labor unrest in the '20's and '30's, major strikes, etc. They touch on it from time to time but never have I seen them actually go in depth. do you think I could sell them on the idea?

2. Isn't it sad that the History Channel very often has no history at all?
Not to rain on your parade, but I imagine that Sasquatch and UFOs bring them higher ratings than shows on actual history. Although there are ways they *could* make them interesting, if they had someone who was creative enough (I always liked Western Tech with David Carradine). Why bother when Bigfoot can get you the numbers?

3. Unless you can find an "expert" to claim
the Lawrence textile strike was actually caused when workers fled their factory after seeing a chupacabra or aliens founded the first union I don't see it happening soon.

I love your idea but at best I see any labor special on the History channel focusing way too much on organized crime.

6. When the right wing were arguing for defunding public television back in the '80s,
they argued that commercial TV could do the educational stuff so much better. Here you have the result. Almost every educational commercial television network has degenerated into crap, including Food Network and HGTV.
