After nearly fifteen years, I'm headed back to the Bay Area -- for an *interview*!
For those of you just joining us, my present job has been circling the drain for a full year and a half, but just won't go all the way down. Must be the water pressure or something. :eyes:

Then a couple of weeks ago, I saw a rare posting for a position in my field. Usually such postings are only for executive directors, other positions being filled from within. EDs have to work long hours and be on the phone a lot. FAIL.

So I send in Mr. Resume -- and get a response within the hour! :wow: Did the phone interview yesterday morning. Nailed it -- but that's not all. Now my putative boss wants to see me, in person, on Friday. That response also came within a couple of hours. These people are good!

So off I go, into the wild blue yonder. As of late Thursday night, I'll be in fabulous San Jose, 10th largest city in America (seriesly). The interview is Friday morning. Saturday I figure I'll probably go up to The City, where I haven't been in oh, so long.

Should this happen, of course, the name "KamaAina" would join "DemoTex" and several others as geographic anachronisms. And the next election is three and a half years away...

7. Well, no, not really, but...
people out here would have to make me a counter-offer.

And if I had to go back, the Bay would be it! :yourock:
