1. One of the funniest names I ever heard was Harry Sack.

It was the name of some guy that my husband had to make collection calls while working at Northeast Utilities here in CT. He had a whole printout of tons of hilarious names.

I would add "Wad" to that list....

He was my US Representative while I lived in NH. Great guy, but man what a name!

I used to have fun telling people my representative was Dick Swett and waiting for them to say, "Yeah, mine too."

He was a great guy IMO, a bit of a womaniser, but still IMO OK in my book. He ended up joining the British Army.

He refused to be addressed by his first name. He hated it. Just went by his last name.

Public school in UK == Private school in USA.

Therefore people being called last names can be "normal".
