1. My dear mix...
Of course I am!

Life without love is not worth living, IMHO...

2. Were I not in love
I would be in love with being in love--
an unrequited love, for being in love would not love me,
being in love being narcissistic,
would be loving itself for its own reasons.

Being in love being in love with being in love,
being in love would hear the echo of my true confessions--
but being in love would love its own reflection better,
and imagine my words of love came from being in love, itself.

But by loving the reflection of love and hearing the echo
of the love I have (being in love with being in love)
wouldn't being in love fall in love with me for being in love
with it?

Oh, no. Narcissus fell into the pool of his reflection,
and Echo died away, and when I was no longer in love with
being in love,
I married a nice Italian butcher from Mt. Airy
and we're madly in love. Without being mad about love.

But she isn't, at least not with me. And I don't think I'll ever meet anyone like her again. Most people never do.

21. I am in love
we are taking it very, very slow however. We like how things are right now and don't want to disrupt it. I go see Jason once a week in Boulder and that is enough. We both are carrying a lot of baggage that we need to shed before we can take on a relationship..but yes...we are both in love with each other.

25. When you are in a partnership for many years and it's a loving one,
the feelings deepen. It's not the same as the infatuation phase, which is like a mania, but it's more profound.

45. Apparently, I still am.
The anniversary stuff over the moon landing has generated a bunch of stuff on the teevee. Not only in local news here but also in venues like GritTV and BookTV and it's made it's way right into my dreams.

I grew up in a neighborhood full of NASA moon people and all of this coverage has brought back memories of my kidhood in Silicon Valley and my fiance Karl and, on the down side, how he died of carbon monixide along with his mom on a trip to Germany during our engagement. But mostly, of how all the dads in our subdivision were working on the moon project and how that was normal for us.

My dreams have been full of the moon and Karl and his moonman dad and of the old neighborhood all weekend. Some place in my mind doesn't know he's gone at all. We still play driveway pick up games with the kids. lol

53. Today I can still say yes,
but unfortunately it's getting harder and harder to keep telling myself that.

I know my wife loves me (is she "in love" with me?) That question I can't answer anymore with any confidence.

Too many days I feel more like the house servant than her husband.

55. I've been in love with one woman since 1967
And have just realized that recently.

We became the best of friends, but never "boyfriend/girlfriend." We talked on the phone (almost) every night for years, I stopped by her house a few times to visit, and we did go out for our one and only date in 1973. Then I moved away and we didn't see each other for 34 years. I looked her up in 2005 and stopped by her work place in 2007. We've been communicating by email ever since (just a note every month or two).

There have been others, but she was and has been my "one and only!" :loveya:

I keep thinking of the Ray Charles classic:

Georgia, Georgia,
The whole day through
Just an old sweet song
Keeps Georgia on my mind

I'm say Georgia
Georgia
A song of you
Comes as sweet and clear
As moonlight through the pines

Other arms reach out to me
Other eyes smile tenderly
Still in peaceful dreams I see
The road leads back to you

I said Georgia,
Ooh Georgia, no peace I find
Just an old sweet song
Keeps Georgia on my mind

Other arms reach out to me
Other eyes smile tenderly
Still in peaceful dreams I see
The road leads back to you

Georgia, Georgia,
No peace, no peace I find
Just this old, sweet song
Keeps Georgia on my mind

I said just an old sweet song,
Keeps Georgia on my mind

Only substituting her name for "Georgia"
