Is PowerPhone a good VoIP outfit?
Just dumped Magic Jack. I took great pleasure deleting their program. Had it for almost a year and spent five hours in a live chat with six tech people yesterday trying to fix my computer and router to adapt. They told me updates in my anti-viral program and firewall blocked people from hearing me and for me not getting a dial tone. I can't tell you the fiddling around I did. Think I got everything back the way it was! Earlier in the week I was inlive chat with them for cheating me out of my second year of service and that took one hour and forty five minutes to correct! gEez! Yesterday was the final straw....wasn't that great anyway.

Been reading about different VoIP outfits today....called PowerPhone and they told me the updates would not be a problem with service. I'm using a Dell Studio Laptop 1737 and a Linksys router, if that makes any difference and have DSL.

I loved being able to talk with our two elderly Moms for as long as they wanted to talk. They are both lonesome and I live far from each so the VoIP was an answer without incurring big phone bills. Any ideas?
