Did anybody watch the Animal Planet show on the deadliest snakes?
It was on last night, and this guy on there wanders through Africa to find the deadliest/most dangerous snakes in Africa. Even though the guy is a professional and has been handling snakes for years, he really seemed outrageously over the top in provoking the snakes.

Plus, the guy is walking around the desert looking for a buried sidewinder, and he's wearing sandals! One misstep and the guy gets bitten on the ankle, toe or foot. He ended up getting bitten twice while doing the show, with one bite sending him to the hospital.

Then, the guy starts teasing the snakes so he can get good close-up pictures of them. Half the time, he's jumping out the way of a striking snake. That was kind of bothersome to me - even though he's talking about deforestation and how it's destroying the habitat of the gaboon viper, it bothered me that he was provoking the snakes into attacking postures.

6. Australia has a lot of animals
that nobody should mess with - the inland & coastal taipan snakes, the crocs, the sharks, the funnel-web spider, the jack-jumper ants and the most venomous animal in the world - the box jellyfish.

couldn't find the actual date, though. The guy has a very distinct South African accent, though.

9. I don't like Animal Planet anymore.
Every time I check in on it, they seeem to be running shows about animal abuse or shows about really "scary" critters.
Maybe I'm just a wuss, but I can't stand it.
