GAH! I had a beer that tasted like eggs!

Another thread mentioning dining at Disney World reminded me of my last visit there 2 years ago. The brewpub/restaurant there had some hefeweizen on the menu that sounded good. I ordered a glass. The mofo tasted like eggs! WTF?!?!?!

1. the answer probably has something to do with the term:

Disney.

2. The only hefeweizen I'm familiar with is from Shiner, Texas

and it's never tasted like eggs. So, I would also guess it's something to do with Disney.

3. Near as I can tell, it was an old batch.

Or that's what a brewmaster friend of mine tells me. He said hefe's can develop some fairly weird tastes when they go off, but that he'd never heard of egg tastes before.

We went to the brewpub at Disney a few years ago, too. I don't remember what I had, except that it wasn't particularly memorable. It was better than Busch, though.
