3. those little companies are more fun

really fun to watch them set up and take down. The elephants are part of the crew. I would almost rather watch them work than "perform".

I drove past them setting up this morning and they were using the elephants to pull up the tent. One night only. Then pull it down and on to the next town. It's like the 1890s.

There is circus enough for anyone here; it's free, it lasts more than a day, the clowns are real and the Freak Show is the best you'll ever see!

And it was very popular about a year ago. I'm sure they'll have it. It' one of those books I couldn't put down. And I think it's loosely based on a true story, or a combination of stories.
