Just to show how strange I am...
Anyone else have a favorite eating utensil?

I have a whole set of matched knives, forks and spoons, yet I have a favorite fork, a long-tined one.

1. No, but I have a favorite kitchen knife
The cheapest thing you can imagine, an 8" blade. Weighs next to nothing (did I say it is a cheap knife?) Sharpens up rather nicely (my thumb certainly thinks so).

2. you want to know how sick I am?
not only do I have favorites, but my SON knows which they are. The poor kid. I need to start a fund for his imminent therapy bills.

4. Uh oh. Does that make us strange?
I mean, I'm strange for a whole lot of reasons, just didn't realize this was one of them!

But YES, I have several different styles of forks (and spoons and knives, for that matter) and I use them for different things. I have a favorite fork, it's really nice, not too light and not too heavy, also with long tines.

Same deal with spoons, too.

6. Okiedokie,

I love my set of Japanese knives (here's a picture: )

I drink my white/green tea out of one of these:

Our coffee machine (Nespresso) looks like this:

Our plates, though, are from IKEA, solid simple white stoneware, besides the Japanese dishes:

The table we eat at was designed and made by myself.

9. My Grandmother knows ever fork, spoon, knife she has
whenever we BBQ she makes her rounds and collects them and counts and washes them. She is in her 80's.
