It's funny that 80's music was supposed to be a repudiation of disco
but to modern ears, it sounds VERY disco.

I'm sorry, but I can just picture John Travolta disco dancing under a glitter ball to "Thriller."

1. It was a repudiation of disco's adherance to creativity and musicianship
of which disco had little; but 80's music sure as fuck repudiated what little of it there was.

Hell, even Pink Floyd wrote a disco tune.

But yeah, the arrangement on Thriller is very disco.
