3. Yeah but look at the choices the could pick from that was nominated for the award
Boston - not a 1-hit wonder but almost a 1-album wonder. Didn't it take 14 years til they released their 2nd album. But it was a really great album
Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band - Who? I don't know one song they sang.
The Brothers Johnson - again WHO? Although looking them up on Wiki I didn't realize they did "Strawberry Letter #23")
Wild Cherry - Talk about 1-hit wonder. Nuff said!
