23 ground ball outs, I do believe. 2 hitter. Full game. 100 pitches, aprox 75 sinkers.

1. That's his second CG shutout of the year
The Cardinals rotation is all of a sudden very strong, except for Todd Wellemeyer.

His ERA, I was surprised to see, is lower than Adam Wainwright's, who is the consensus no. 2 behind Carpenter.

2. Yeah, bats are uneven.
But just a slight uptick in team ERA--if pitching stays this even--and I think they are in it for the season.
