True Blood fans check in - some freaky stuff ** Spoilers **
What the hell is Maryann and what does she want with Tara and that other guy. I mean it's nice seing Tara nice but geez, that woman is a freak. And notice how she turned Sam into a dog (I mean we knew he could already but she did it to him, not him to himself).

Maybe Lafayette is dead after all. Shame, I loved Lafayette and he did give the name of who killed that vampire.

But I'm not getting why vampires can never see their family again. Yes, Sookie should have never taken Jessica there but I thought the whole purpose of True Blood beverages was to allow vampires to mainstream with humans.

4. Well in the books it was Lafayette's body that was found in the car
So the fact that they put someone else in there shows just how popular Lafayette was on the show. But why bother keeping him alive and going against the book only to kill him off some other way. They're starting to bring the Dallas arc into the show and perhaps they'll find a way to use Lafayette to help out the cause. "V" is very valuable drug, I'm suprised Eric hasn't thought of finding a way to market the drug himself and make even more money.

5. I think that Lafayette has turned into --
Edited on Mon Jun-22-09 05:43 PM by Hell Hath No Fury
great a character with a lot to offer the series -- I believe Ball has decided he needs to stick around. I think the idea of a vamp Lafayette is irresistable! :D

Poor Sam -- he looks like he is about to pee himself whenever Maryann shows up -- now we can see why! I know about the whole Maenad (sp?) thing, but still don't know exactly what is up with her adn what she wants from Sam -- when he was 17 it appeared she was trying to procreate/absorb -- don't know what she would want from him now. The whole procreation thing appears again with the matching of Eggs and Tara -- she was sooo upset with her butler guy when he interupted their almost-kiss.

I finally fell for Eric. :loveya: I have been kind of iffy on him, but his hottitude finally got to me last night. I really am beginning to like this character -- he is a 1000 year old vamp sherriff who is afraid Pam will get angry with him for spoiling her 'do! I loved the meeting at Forever 21 between he and Bill -- and the saleswoman's perception that they were a couple.

I am loving the whole Church thing -- the musical segment was TOO true and too funny! Last night's episode confirmed it -- there is going to be a fight to see who gets Jason first -- the Rev. or his wife. They both looked positively on fire with desire after that staking.

As for vamps not seeing their families -- I would imagine back in the day pre-out of the coffin they couldn't have stayed around their families because their inability to age would have raised serious questions and "outed" them. Now that they are mainstreming, I wonder if it is more convention than actually neccessity that keeps them separate from their families. I thought I remember last season a TV report that talked about a vamp/non vamp wedding -- I could imagine families were involved.

Forgot to add links to a few online interviews:

This is Ryan/"Jason" speaking in his real, Aussie voice -- he seems incredibly different than the character and has a lovely speaking voice

And this is Alexander/"Eric" - had no idea he had been named Sweden's Sexiest Man Alive for years straight! :D

7. Ryan sounds like most of his Aussie accent has been worked out....
Kinda like Nicole Kidman, you hear the Aussie accent slightly but not so much anymore. I was shocked by Alexander, if I didn't know he was born in Sweden I would have thought he was American - but still a hottie, just like is Dad Stellan.

6. hell of a show
I'm hooked on it.

I think Lafayette will be turned, he is too awesome a character to kill off. Like he said more than once, he is a survivor first.

I guess one reason why its a bad idea for vampire to see their families is what Jessica was about to do to her dad.

8. yeah, I think the restriction has more to do with new, young Vamps seeing their families
And by the time they mature it doesn't matter anymore since their families are dead.

9. Maryann is on my nerves.
I hope she goes away soon. Lafayette is too good of a character to kill off (I love him too), and I think he'll make a pretty good vampire. Sookie should have never taken Jessica----she really pissed Bill off. I'm not sure why they can't see their families again, but maybe they just have to wait a bit. When Bill was turned I don't think vampires were assimilated into society yet.

Can't wait for Entourage July 12th!

10. I think the pig we saw Maryann torturing last season was her servant
She was vibrating just like that.
He is a shape-shifter too I bet.
Maryann reminds me of circe
http://thanasis.com/circe.htm
Circe is the witch living in the island of Aeaea, who was visited by the crew of heroes called the Argonauts and the Trojan War hero Odysseus. Circe was a powerful witch who, with the help of herbs, muttering incantations, or praying to her gods, could turn men into animals or create unsubstantial images of beasts. She was able to darken the heavens by hiding the moon or the sun behind clouds, and destroy her enemies with poisonous juices, calling to her aid Nyx (Night), Chaos or Hecate, goddess of the crossroads. In her presence and because of her enchantments the woods could move, the ground rumble and the trees around her turn white.

11. Maybe she just can't see them now?
Bill said young vampires have no humanity and cannot resist the most basic of urges. She was going to kill her father. So would assume that is the reason he wanted her to keep her distance.
