What's for dinner, DU? --- Sunday edition
Here it's first round of locally grown corn on the cob, tomatoes, and something on the grill.
What about chez vous?

1. Old timey menu. Standing rib roast, summer squash,
taters au gratin, salad, a middling pinot noir, and dessert.

5. My dear Gormy Cuss!
It's nothing special tonight...broiled pork chops, applesauce,(probably), rice or potatoes, some sort of vegetable...

Not sure about anything now but the chops!

:P

8. Blackened chicken salad from the best place in town
http://www.kginn.com/lunch.htm

This is probably the only thing I order off their menu ( I've tried everything else, and it rocks big-time, but for the price this item is off the hook )

Great tavern, too....oldest continuously operated inn in the United States...quite a bit of history we have going on here, check it out if you ever find yourself in the area!

17. Poor Forkboy.
I hope that your fever dissipates soon. It stinks being so sick that eating doesn't seem worth it.

19. It was FANTASTIC!!!
We grilled a bunch of food, invited a friend over, and now we have lunches for the week as well. Salmon, the best cheeseburgers EVER, spicy sausage, portabellas, asparagus, spring onions, eggplant and zucchini. For sides we made broccoli and fennel slaw and quinoa and bulgar with herbs. For dessert I picked up a gateau grand-mere from the local bakery and topped slices with fresh berries and whipped cream. DAY-UM that was good!

21. Kick-butt dinner I wouldn't feed to anybody else
Edited on Mon Jun-22-09 02:12 AM by astral
torn up kale
topped with chopped onion
organic peas
mixed with ground turmeric and black pepper and sesame seed (big heaping tablespoon of the mix)
topped with bottled ranch
mixed together w/ fork
served with lemon water with a few drops of stevia
and
four re-heated pieces of bacon

oh, and a generous sprinkle of brewer's yeast.

Some parmesan would have been good and I had it but didn't use it and didn't miss it.

Break out of the box, people, it's kinda fun : )

g'nite~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ !

22. That sounds like the kind of dinner my mom always made when I was little.
She'd usually have some scrambled eggs in there too though.

23. The turmeric + black pepper idea came to me
because the capsules I have been taking with that in them have been helping me and I thought, why not just EAT those spices instead of buying them in capsules? I didn't know if I'd like it myself when I ground them up the first time but I really like the taste.

Adding eggs is a great idea.
